The Music of Boss Cotton

I’ve heard my music described as “outlaw country”. I’d say that’s just about right. My music brings together a wide range of influences form ZZ Top and Robert Earl Keen to Better than Ezera and Dilbert McClinton. It’s these diverse influences that allow me to create my own unique sound and tell my stories form a pipeliners point of view.

From the first gig I played 20 years ago in Provo, Utah every note, every chord has been important to me. It’s been an adventure that’s allowed me to play all over the U.S. – Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, Utah, Mississippi. I’ve even had the honor to perform on the stage of the famous Blue Bird Café in Nashville.

It’s humbling to know my music is available on Touch Tunes in 50,000 locations in the U.S. and around the world. That’s right, I said 50,000! The idea of reaching so many people with something I created is really amazing. From what the folks at Touch Tunes tell me, when people listen to my music, they really like it. In fact, their system shows that my song X was played a total of X times in one night on a jukebox in X. I can’t tell you what a rush that is.

I plan to continue playing music and telling the stories of my life through song until I can’t hold a guitar anymore. I hope my work reaches my audience and connects with them. Take a listen to the samples and if you’d like to purchase any of my CD’s or even just a single track, you can visit: CD Baby, iTunes, amazon, or emusic.
